Happy Birthday, Karen!

Something that's a little overdue--a blog post about the crazy fun that was at the RX Studios last Sunday! If you've been out of the loop, last April 15 was the beautiful Karen Bordador's birthday which was celebrated by a full house inside the booth. For those of you unfamiliar with the antics of "Teacher K", Karen is 2011's "RoRo Girl Search" winner, winning a coveted spot in the roster of Monster talents. Moving up, she's now a co-host in her own right--the other half of the all new, already-talked-about show, "Primetime!"

Out of the new batch of Monsters, Karen's definitely the feistiest and the sweetest, and I was lucky enough to be invited to join and co-host her first-ever Hip26 show. Although I had plans for that particular Sunday to get together with some of the Radio1 jocks, we all figured to just hang out in the booth to celebrate Karen's birthday and benefit from the free air-conditioning!

Staging a 4 hour radio show was incredibly fun--I've been out for almost a month--as we were also joined by fellow Radio1 Nikita (who's always a pleasure to work with--and is a Karen look-alike). Aside from hip-hop and R&B, the day was all about Teacher K! Tons of greets, song requests and phone calls--great way to cap off the afternoon.
