Body by Pure Performance Gym

If you're following me on Facebook and Twitter, I'm guessing you're pretty much familiar with the Finix Fitness Club. It's the community fitness center I go too, near my place in Pasig City--that place I bemoan about, once or thrice a week on a minimum.

Sporting the latest gym equipment from the Finix Fitness Corp., Hoist Fitness and Real Rider Tech amongst others, FFC is also the training center for would-be TRX Suspension Training instructors. Boasting a pretty wide floor area, physical therapy equipment and a well-equipped and equally knowledgeable staff, it's my gym of choice--not too shady but not to flashy either, great equipment, polite staff and good vibes! Or uh, technically, was.

Recently, after expanding their gym concept (with 2 other branches in construction), a decision was made on a marketing stand point to rebrand and rename the fitness club to "Pure Performance Gym"--a really cool and bad-ass handle for the soon-to-be chain of fitness centers.

Out with (some of) the old and in with the new, Pure Performance gym offers a wider variety of classes (adding yoga, dance & a taekwondo summer clinic), along with improved physical therapy equipment.

One thing that's top-notch about PPG is their cardio machines: treadmills, elliptical & step machines. Aside from being state-of-the-art, all of the cardio equipment are equipped with CardioTVs with local and cable channels available, plus an iPod plug-in feature: perfect for making your own jam and watching your movies while working on your cardio-vascular endurance!

TRX suspension training programs (learn more about it HERE) and Real Rider cycling classes are also a trademark of PPG, being the only authorized establishment to certify TRX Suspension Training instructors! Real Ryder Tech stationary bikes are a different kind of monster. Aside from functioning like any stationary bike, it features pretty fancy hydraulic and spring work which allows twists and balance shifts targeting not only your legs but it also gives your core a good work out! Pretty much all customized programs created by their trainers incorporate these two exercises: definitely worth your money!

Aside from the cardio, the TRX and the RRT, almost all of the equipment in the gym's up-to-speed. Hoist Fitness machines are all over, utilizing body weight and nifty cable-work making sure every rep you make hits the right spot--a totally different work-out experience which makes for a killer combo!

So how much do I owe these guys? Take a look!

Damn. So yes! Do check 'em out! Drop by along 420, F. Legazpi St., Brgy. Maybunga, Pasig City if you're looking for the perfect community gym and fitness club. Before I forget, the gym opens at 8 AM and closes at 10 PM on weekdays, 9 on Saturdays and 7 PM on Sundays. For rates and everything else, call 576 31 74! Again, pretty convenient! Don't forget to holler when you see me, ha ha.
